I hear she came from a distant star
In a vintage dress and a stolen car
With a second hand copy of Planet Of The Apes
I was living at the time with a Mrs. Swift
It was a rent-free situation if you catch my drift
There’s always more than several ways to pay

She cast her spell she silenced the place
With her full moon eyes in her night sky face
“It’s hard being human in a world like this”
She purred in my ear and her hand brushed my wrist

And I cried when I was born
Life seemed so uninviting
To ride the storm dodging bolts of lightening
After darkness comes the dawn

But I’ll die laughing

She left a trail of bobby pins
And other mysterious female things
And it led me to my ladies chamber door
I knocked once and I knocked twice
“Come in” she said, “and don’t be shy

It’s hard being human but the alternative is worse
